On June 30, 2009, I testified at the State House in front of the Judiciary Committee on behalf of House Bill 1523.  This Bill would have eliminated the statute of limitations for reporting the crime of rape in the state of MA for anyone under the age of 18.  The House side of the Judiciary Committee voted against an extenstion on the Bill, which would have alleviated the April deadline.  Since the House carries the votes (aka power) on Beacon Hill right now, the Bill was essentially stopped dead in its tracks.  Please keep in mind over 30 seats are opening up in January and it will be up to us to vote for the representatives and senators that will stand up for what is right for the protection and well-being of our children!

MISSION

End the Statute of Limitations for reporting the crime of rape of a minor in the state of MA

Our court system is the entity to determine whether a crime committed has enough evidence to be prosecuted, it is NOT up to our LEGISLATION to do so.  A heinous, vicious and brutal crime has been committed and our children have the right to report the crime when their own life calls for it.
